The Presidential Election in Nigeria Part three
The three main candidates
Listerning raptly the person asked me to explain the meaning of the word(emi lokan)it's my turn in the campaign process.I noted that it was a sarcastic expression used by opinion shapers to explain how the candidate of the APC brokered an alliance of the major opposition parties and requested General Buhari to be the presidential candidate of the coalition in 2015.And to confirm my position of the APC candidate as the best among the contestants,I asked the person to find the coverage of his participation at the NESG presidential dialogue.
Nigerian economic summit group presidential dialogue
The performance of the APC candidate at the presidential dialogue in January 2023 was very impressive. In this exchange with experts and prominent people. He answered properly the question on his first 100/200 days in office,he disclosed how he increased Lagos State government revenue from 600 million Naira to 5 billion Naira in one month as a governor.
APC campaign pledges
He displayed his commitment to nominate women as senior advisers in reply to his gender equality policy. He accepted the request of the president of the Nigerian Manufacturers Association to consult with his economic team on key industrial policies. He asked the questioners to allow him to keep sealed lips on certain issues. He promised the chief executive of Nestle Nigeria to introduce tax incentives to encourage youth employment and affirmed in his closing remark that a sound consumer finance strategy might reduce the level of corruption in Nigeria!
