The second round of the presidential election

By the close of the presidential campaign on April 8, 2022.Pollsters have furnished enough analysis on the candidates likely to be qualified for the second round of balloting on April 24. In the face of these findings, experienced commentators reminded the public of the forecasts of 1993 and 2002.When Edouard Balladur was rated as the best candidate of the right and Lionel Jospin,who was ahead of all candidates according to opinion polls, but failed to make it to the second round of voting in 2002. With the above facts in mind, some observers opted for a repeat of the situations of 2002 and 2017,when the party of Jean-Marie Le Pen and Marine Le Pen,made it to the second round of balloting.

The night of April 10 2022

In just some few minutes after the release of the election result the list of candidates who qualified for the second round of balloting became very clear.Due to the fact that Anne Hidalgo,the candidate of the Parti socialiste,who scored 1.75% made a plea in favour of the candidate of the LREM in the second round of balloting.Valérie Pecress of the LR with 4.7% made a similar declaration in support of the candidate of the LREM.The famous,do not give one single vote to Mrs Le Pen, three times by Jean-Luc Melenchon,who scored 21.95%, was another notification that closed all possibilities of victory in the second round of voting for  Marine Le Pen.

The televised debate on April 20 2022

In the week that followed the first round of voting.Both candidates intensified their campaign efforts.With a presidential election score of 27.6% Macron visited Denain,le Havre and Marseille.Marine le Pen went to Avignon,Vacluse and the Indre-et-Loire and made it clear that she would take some days off to prepare for the presidential debate.The two candidates did very well in their introductions and replied to the question why do you think that you are the best candidate? But the issues were not in favour of Marine Le Pen,when questioned on her purchasing power proposals,on the European Union and the leader of the far right movement was unable to reply properly,when accused of taking a loan from a Russian bank in 2015 to finance her politcal campaign.
